I’ve been self-employed for about three months, focusing on IT security consulting, primarily pentesting. The first month was dedicated to setting everything up, like building my website and handling legal matters. For the past two months, I’ve been actively trying to find customers but with limited success.
My primary approach has been through LinkedIn, as cold emailing and calling are illegal in my country, and I doubt their effectiveness nowadays. I’ve been networking on LinkedIn, posting regularly, and engaging with people to learn about their problems and see if I can offer solutions. However, I’m not getting many responses.
For those who have started something similar, how did you go about it? Do you have any tips or strategies that worked well for you?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide!
