How does Wave Accounting impact on the buisness community?

Hey Fellows,

I’m researching accounting software options and came across Wave Accounting. It seems to offer a lot of features for small businesses, but I’d like to hear from users who have hands-on experience with it. How reliable and user-friendly is Wave Accounting? Does it handle tasks like invoicing, expenses, and reporting well? Any insights into its strengths and weaknesses would be greatly appreciated before I decide to give it a try.

Thanks in advance for your help…

According to my account emails, I can’t say that I haven’t been using Wave since 2013, but that’s when I first started. I’ve given Wave a tonne of recommendations throughout the years. The choice to enclose crucial functionalities like bank importing and reporting behind a barrier is confusing, though, given that these capabilities frequently function poorly and are less sophisticated than those provided by rivals.

Regarding the bank reporting, I concur. When this is moved behind a paywall, I’ll switch to Fiskl, which I obtained as an early user through an LTD. Their transaction sorting AI is terrible, and I have to manually fix a specific transaction every month. Credit card transfer verification also fails. I’m delighted it’s tax season so I can switch over for the next fiscal year, though I’m not sure when they go into effect.

It’s a terrible AI. Although it may only need a few more clicks, my time as a business owner is already limited.

Yes. I wish I could just turn it off entirely because most of the stuff it guesses is really incorrect, and the stuff that seems so obvious to me that it should be able to figure out on its own isn’t even mentioned.
