Does anyone actually use AI tools besides ChatGPT?

I want to know if anyone here actually uses AI tools and what your experience has been.

I keep seeing all the hype around AI, but I don’t hear small business owners around me talking about using it much. For example, I heard that Klarna replaced support agents with AI. Are there other examples I’m missing?

Personally, I only use ChatGPT, and it’s kind of replaced Google for me in some ways.

A friend of mine runs a clothing wholesale store and uses an app (don’t remember the name) that changes the backgrounds of clothes in pictures. Now, there are apps that can place clothes on AI mannequins or swap out shirts in existing images.

If anyone plans to plug their own AI tool here, please don’t. Just make another post bragging about how great it is.

Thanks in advance!

PS: I got a lot of warnings when typing “AI.” If this post bothers the group, let me know, and I’ll delete it.

Just a quick reminder: this forum is for asking and answering questions about starting, owning, and growing small businesses. Oh cool, I tried Suno, and it really surprised me.

What kind of videos are you making, and how does the music tie into your work?

@Quincy
I work as the media director for a humane society. We produce daily videos, and while most of them don’t need music (people prefer talking), I add it occasionally. The newest version of Suno just came out, and the lyrics sound amazing now.

Claude by Anthropic is my go-to. I find it smarter and more useful than ChatGPT.

I also use MidJourney to create some very realistic graphics.

Do you use the graphics from MidJourney for ads or something else?

I like Claude too and tried both ChatGPT and Claude. I stuck with ChatGPT because I have several “custom bots” set up here.

Also, the o1-preview model is great but a bit limited, probably because it’s expensive to run.

Same here, Claude is my favorite. While Claude is great for details, o1 is better for brainstorming complex ideas. I usually start planning in o1 and then move everything to Claude to finish it up.

I use MidJourney for design ideas and Suno for music for my game development hobby.

Game development is about to get so much better as AI tools keep improving. I tried game dev myself, but it’s one of the hardest things to stick with.

I hope 3D modeling tools catch up with image and sound generation soon. I heard ElevenLabs is working on sound effects, but the results weren’t great yet.

@Quincy
I tried a tool once to generate a 3D model (don’t remember its name). It wasn’t bad, but it gave me a spoon with 900k polygons :joy: It looked great but needed a ton of work to actually use.

I use Google Notebook/Gemini. What’s cool is that I can upload documents and have it analyze only those. It really improves accuracy because it’s working with reliable data.

For example, I once gave it a 600-page regulatory test standard and an Excel sheet of testing equipment. It checked if I had all the equipment for the tests. It made a few mistakes, but it still saved me hours of work.

@Cass
Is this part of Google Workspace, or is it the “NotebookLM” I just found on Google? I hadn’t heard of it before.
