I’m searching for a tool to help manage projects, track team performance, and maybe handle scheduling or resource management. It would be great if it could work with Slack or Google Workspace, and ideally, something that grows with my team. My budget is a bit tight, so I’m hoping to find something affordable with useful features. Any recommendations?

I’ve used Trello for project management, it’s really simple and works well for small teams. For performance tracking, I suggest 15Five. It’s great for getting feedback and keeping track of goals. Both tools work well with Slack, and Trello is free unless you need more features.
Smartsheet could be a good choice if you’re managing big projects and need resource scheduling. It’s a bit more complicated, but it’s capable of handling a lot.
What industry is your business in?
Try Zoho. Zoho One has a lot of features and could cover most of what you need.
For small teams, Teamwork is a solid choice. It’s great for managing tasks, tracking time, and budgeting. It also has performance tracking features and a free version to get started.
Monday and ClickUp are solid options! I think Monday would work better for your needs.
Maybe look into CRM software specific to your industry. It could be more tailored to your needs.
Have you checked out Monday? It’s a bit much for my needs, but it sounds like it could work well for your team.
I’ve tried about 15 different tools, and unfortunately, nothing seems to cover everything well. It looks like your business might be an agency, so I’d suggest Asana, Monday, Jira, ClickUp, or Basecamp. However, none of these handle budgeting very well. We use a tool called Metric for resource allocation, budgeting, and job costing, which works great. If your time tracking and budgeting needs are simple, these other tools might be good enough, but we’ve had to use multiple products.
@Neo
Could you be a little more specific about the frustrations you’ve had with these tools? What do you do, and what features do you think are missing?
What about Wrike? It’s great for managing projects, tracking performance, and collaborating with your team. The Google Workspace and Slack integration works well, and they offer different pricing plans depending on your team size.
Airtable is perfect if you like working with spreadsheets. It’s very customizable for project management, performance tracking, and scheduling.
Basecamp might be what you need. It’s easy to use, has both project management and team communication features, and integrates with Google Workspace and Slack. Plus, their flat-rate pricing model will save you money as your team grows.
Can you clarify your needs a bit more? What do you do? When you mention resource management, are you talking about client documents? What specific project management features are you looking for?
I’ve tried so many tools too. They all focus on one aspect but don’t cover everything. Most Kanban-style tools don’t support larger projects, so I’ve kind of given up on finding one tool that does it all.
For something flexible and easy to use, Paycor could be a good option. It helps with performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development. The reporting features are great, and it can scale with your team.
