Is it a bad idea to present a lady who consistently assists us at the bank with a gift basket?

All I would want is for her to avoid any trouble or attention. I won’t lie; occasionally she releases the entire amount from a deposit. I’m not sure if it would get her fired, but yeah

I would not directly give her a gift basket. Instead, order a fruit basket, donuts, or whatever for 8-9 people. That way you aren’t targeting just her which can look weird for many reasons.

That is so adorable. How about a large chocolate box or gift basket that is intended for the entire branch? To express gratitude to the entire team?

I looked on Amazon just now. The Amazon’s Choice gift basket is the chocolate one.:wink: The dried fruit one looks nice too, and it goes well with the chocolates and provides a low-sugar substitute.

I adore delicious chocolates, such as Laderach. Since my mother is in the hospital, I am getting a platter for each department or team that is supporting her. My mother adores Edible Arrangements.

I’ve worked in banking for years, and it’s fine to give gifts to bank staff if you’re pleased with their service. Just avoid directly linking the gift to specific actions, like releasing holds, as that can raise red flags. Keep gifts modest, as anything over a certain value requires reporting and creates extra work. Avoid homemade food, since it’s usually discarded for safety reasons. A good option might be something like a box of Christmas cookies from Costco, which is store-bought and can be shared in the break room for everyone to enjoy.
