I had planned to launch my digital agency (covering digital marketing, design, and web development) in December, but my cat became ill unexpectedly, and I urgently needed money for vet bills. This has forced me to launch earlier than planned. I’ve almost completed my company website, which I rushed through over the past few days to have something to show potential clients, and I’ve included past work. I need advice on how to quickly secure a few clients to cover around $140, which is over a third of my current salary. I already have some long-term client acquisition strategies and a few small clients for design and marketing, but I need immediate help and advice. Thanks!
Have you searched Fiverr or Upwork for short and simple jobs? Your fluency in native English will be very beneficial.
Additionally, DM me with your work, portfolio, etc. Usually, I have a few unfinished design tasks that need to be finished.
I’ve tried Fiverr and Upwork, but they’re both very crowded and don’t currently have any jobs listed. I’ll DM you the corporate website I’m working on, which includes a lot of my older work on it.
To succeed on Fiverr and Upwork, you need to set highly competitive prices at first to get your initial reviews. When we started on Fiverr during the Covid lockdown, we completed our first 10-15 jobs at extremely low rates. But by delivering quality work, once we got our first reviews, things improved quickly.
After 60 days, we reached Level 1, and by day 120, we hit Level 2 with over 300 5-star reviews. At Level 2, repeat customers and word of mouth made it easier to transition away from Fiverr and attract clients willing to pay higher rates.
Thank you for the information; I will surely give it another shot at such affordable costs.
Pizza joints run by mom-and-pop businesses typically have awful websites and online ordering platforms. If you could convince them of the value, I think it would be a simple target.
